About us The name Hartho is a combination of the first 3 letters in Harry and Thorkil. The interest in hydraulics started under WW.2 . My father, Harry Emil Pedersen, lived close by the biggest airport in Skandinavia., situated in North Jylland, north of Aalborg. During the war a lot of activity was going on there, also a great deal of airplanes, manufactored in: England, USA, and Germany, were shot down or chrashed etc. Parts from these aeroplanes  etc. Is still remaining in our company, together with a lot of other military hydraulic equipment, purchased from auctions, and dealers during many years. Some of these items is for sale under  “components”. Harry Emil Pedersen is educated maschineworker at Aalborg shipyard, and became afther then mechanical engineer. He have worked in several companies before he came to Danfoss in 1960 as leader of a new established laboratory for practical and lifetime tests of Danfoss products.  During the years up till 1993 he lead a group, which purpose was to assist Danfoss customers to choose the right Danfoss hydraulic component, to solve problems and to collect experience for development of further hydraulic products and systems. H.E.Pedersen is still active every day in the company. I, Thorkil Brix Pedersen, started in hydraulics when I was 4 years old following my farther H.E. Pedersen in the weekends and evenings on Danfoss, and a lot of other places. In 1976 I was educatet as toolmaker on Danfoss`s tool department. I started 100% to run the company Hartho-Hydraulic in 1986, as a company delivering all kind of work:  lathe, grinding, honing, spark-erosion, CNC work, and hydraulic related work etc. In 1990 Hartho-Hydraulic got involved in high pressure hydraulics, by an agreement to produce an intensifier. This agreement was ignored by the other part, and Hartho`s finish development, and rights was illoyal, night over, sold to other side, without Hartho`s knowledges or accept. Today a hole series of NEW developed INTENSIFIERS is here. All with a remarkebel low loss of power, and extreemly good power/equipment meassure,  in the proces - transmitting to a higher hydraulic pressure-.  All developed on Hartho-Hydraulic Aps., and patentet.
